    Emergency power for one of the most important humanitarian aid centres in Latin America

    414 kVA of stand-by power installed in Central America’s largest humanitarian aid logistics centres, responsible for the distribution and coordination of international cooperation in the event of any humanitarian crisis.


    Central America and the Caribbean are two regions of enormous ecological, cultural and economic value, which have been affected in recent decades by several adverse natural and climatological events. The impact of the onset of a hurricane, flooding, or an earthquake can have terrible consequences for local villages and infrastructures, not to mention seriously endangering the safety of their inhabitants. That is why it is necessary to always be prepared to offer an immediate and effective response that keeps damage to the minimum.

    With this in mind, in an area south west of Panama City, the Government of Panama has built a Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH), also referred to as a "humanitarian hub"; a logistics center occupying 6 hectares and consisting of three logistics warehouses with a total surface area of 12,000 m2, an administrative building, a loading and control area, and direct access to the Panama-Pacific International Airport. This logistics space will make it possible to provide immediate humanitarian aid to the entire Central American region.

    This logistics space will make it possible to provide immediate humanitarian aid to the entire Central American region, making deliveries in the shortest period of time (24 to 48 hours) to the most sensitive areas, either by air or sea.

    To be able to ensure that these facilities work properly, HIMOINSA, through its local distributor RIGSA, has supplied four soundproofed gensets that are ready to act in the event of any power failure: three HYW-45 T6 gensets and an HFW-200 T6 model with engines of high mechanical capacity, able to start up in a short space of time. Their extensive running time will allow them to work at the same time and at full capacity for up to twelve hours without needing to refuel.
